Research assistant

About the role

Exam grades and job titles are not the full picture – the context in which achievements were gained also matters. At REUK, we actively seek to recruit with the right mix of talent, skills and potential, considering the impact of the context in which a candidate has worked or studied.

We are an equal opportunities employer, and welcome applications from a wide range of candidates, including those with lived experience of forced migration, and from other backgrounds that are currently underrepresented on our team.

Any questions about the role should be sent by email to Emily Bowerman.

Please apply through Charityjob

The role is part-time (3 days a week) and fixed term (June 2023 - June 2024).

There is an informational video about the role below!

Deadline to apply is 5pm on Wednesday 7 June. Any questions, reach out to Amy Ashlee at jobs@reuk.org

We look forward to hearing from you!

In partnership with Professor Joanna McIntyre, REUK has embarked on a 12 month research study on refugee education in Oxford and Nottingham.

We are seeking a Research Assistant to provide high quality contributions to this research initiative, as well as other related research projects, as the need arises. The successful applicant will have lived experience of forced migration.

The postholder will need to be based in Oxford and, because of this, we are excited to be joining together with the University of Oxfords’ Refugee-Led Research Hub (RLRH) to create the first REUK-RLRH fellowship position. This means that the postholder will also receive periodic support from the RLRH team and community.

As we look for new team members, exam grades and job titles are not the full picture - the context in which achievements were gained also matters. We actively seek to recruit with the right mix of talent, skills and potential, considering the impact of the context in which a candidate has worked or studied. We are an equal opportunities employer, and welcome applications from a wide range of candidates, including those with lived experience of forced migration and from other backgrounds that are currently underrepresented at REUK. If you think you’d be a good fit, we’d love to hear from you.
