Educational Mentoring Coordinator - Peterborough

About the role
Exam grades and job titles are not the full picture – the context in which achievements were gained also matters. At REUK, we actively seek to recruit with the right mix of talent, skills and potential, considering the impact of the context in which a candidate has worked or studied.
We are an equal opportunities employer, and welcome applications from a wide range of candidates, including those with lived experience of forced migration, and from other backgrounds that are currently underrepresented on our team.
Any questions about the role should be sent by email to Emily Bowerman.
Please apply through Charityjob
REUK is a dynamic and growing organisation with nearly 30 staff members working across multiple locations.
We are seeking a coordinator for our Peterborough educational mentoring programme for young refugees and asylum seekers. Coordinators oversee mentoring hubs by recruiting and training volunteer mentors and matching them with young people needing additional educational support.
We would particularly welcome applications from people with lived experience of forced migration or from other backgrounds currently under represented on our team.
REUK is currently hiring for two part time roles, one in Cambridge and one in Peterborough. We would be open to hiring one person on a full time basis to cover both our Peterborough and Cambridge hubs. This would require weekly reimbursed travel to both Peterborough and Cambridge.
Apply by submitting a tailored cover letter (no more than one 500 words) and CV to jobs@reuk.org by 4th November 2022 at 09:00.
In your cover letter, please tell us:
-
Why you would like to work at REUK generally and this role specifically;
-
Why you think your skills and experience make you a good candidate for this role;
-
When you could start the job if you were to be offered it.
If you'd like to ask any questions about the role, please email jobs@reuk.org.
