Etleva Millsohi

Etleva first met REUK in 2013. She is studying Biomedicine at Birkbeck university.

"Hello! My name is Etti. I am from Albania and I am 23 years old. I am currently studying the four-year Biomedicine course at Birckbeck University. Education is very important to me because if I'm able to finish my degree, my chances of getting a good job and becoming successful will increase. When I'm not studying, I work at a pharmacy. I have a lot of hopes for the future, but the main one at the moment is finishing my degree at university."

Hamid Khan

Hamid is the Chair of the YAB. He is a graduate in Aeronautical Engineering.

"My name is Hamid. I come from Afghanistan.

For me, education is life. It’s a map that guides you on the right path. I believe that by using education in the right way, we can build brighter futures for ourselves, the people around us and the world around us. I hope for education for everyone, without any restrictions. I hope for a peaceful world and unity in humanity, regardless of race, religion or politics. My favourite thing about the YAB is seeing young people from different backgrounds working together for the same purpose – education and a bright future."

Meron Haile

Meron Haile joined the mentoring programme in 2017. She is studying for a Masters in Human Resources Management.

"Hi! My name is Meron. I'm originally from Ethiopia and I'm currently completing my MA in Human Resorces Management. Education has given me the opportnity to be open minded and learn and develop different kinds of skills. I believe it can be really significant for a young person to be educated so they can expand their knowledge, develop their own perspective and have their own point of view in life. One thing I enjoy about the YAB is finding solutions for other young people who are like us, so that they have a better future through education."
