Getting AHEAD: Access to Higher Education and Academic Development

Refugee Education UK is working with the English and Comparative Literary Studies Department at the University of Warwick to develop a research-led access to Higher Education pilot programme for sanctuary seekers living in the Coventry area.

The pilot programme builds on the recommendations of a previous research study - Finding Their Way - which explored the journey to university for young refugees in Coventry. Our hope is that we can demonstrate how to make the University of Warwick – and other universities – feel more accessible and inclusive for people who have experienced forced migration.
