The recent asylum announcements may have left young people and their families feeling worried about their futures in the UK. Although the measures announced on 17 November 2025 are not yet law and simply outline the government’s current thinking on immigration and asylum, the tone and intent of these proposals may understandably leave many people who could be affected feeling anxious, unsettled, or unwelcome.
