Supporting refugee teachers across Africa
Even though we are based in the UK, we’ve also been thrilled to partner with Jigsaw Education on a research project exploring how national, regional, and global approaches to including refugee teachers can be scaled to strengthen their agency and wellbeing in Chad, Uganda, and Zambia. Participation in these international projects help grow our understanding of and learning from best practice in refugee education globally.
In December 2025, a couple of REUK team members travelled to Uganda to deliver the second round of training in research methods to six refugee teachers who are participating in the project. Their dedication and insights are helping shape evidence that could transform support for refugee teachers across the region.
Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting work - we can’t wait to share the impact as it unfolds!
