Welcoming a new wave of student mentors
The start of the new academic year has brought with it a wave of fresh energy and exciting opportunities to connect with new student volunteers for REUK’s Educational Mentoring Programme!
Over the past few weeks, mentoring coordinators Bilal, Nataliia, and Cennydd have been out and about meeting students, sharing REUK’s mission, and inviting them to play a part in supporting young refugees through education.
We’ve already had fantastic conversations at many campuses around London, where so many students expressed enthusiasm about getting involved - and we’re continuing on over the next couple weeks to spread the word.
Each new volunteer represents another young person who’ll receive the one-to-one support, encouragement, and confidence they need to thrive in education - one of our mentees puts it best by saying,
“Your support is a lifeline of hope and opportunity. Education is a powerful tool that can transform lives, and your generosity enables us to overcome barriers and strive for a brighter future. Thank you for believing in us and for investing in our potential. Your impact is far-reaching and truly life-changing.”
We can’t wait to welcome this next generation of mentors into the REUK community!
